Dancing is something which is very close to my heart. Every beat makes my feet thump. During my childhood and teens, I aspired to learn classical dance although I do not limit myself to a single dance form. But for some reason or the other and majorly study as a priority this aspiriation of mine always got postponed. I had promised myself one thing then that no matter in when I will certainly fulfill my wish to learn clasical dance form.
After my marriage I relocated to Bangalore and like most may put down their wishes in old treasure chest and ponder about them in thoughts, I refrained from doing so. I overcame the resisting thoughts of ... Whether I'll be able to learn at this age, If I'll be able to find a good teacher.... I will have to may be learn in a batch of young school going girls..... But my aspiration was stronger than these inhibitions. So I started of looking out for a dance school of my convenience and as it is rightly said .. Where there is a will there is a way. I found my way out. I met my dance teacher who runs a Bharatnatyam Dance named as Yuva Bharati Nrityalaya located at Kaggadaspura Main Road, above Bhavini Steel Shop, located near SMART and diagonally opposite to UTI ATM.
So I started of and on day one I was pleasing suprised to meet a like minded lady doctor who also had a long time desire to learn dance. There was no looking back from that day. We grew to a batch of 6 within just 1 month. There is a myth that when you enter teens its very hard or rahter impossible to learn clasical dance, but we proved it wrong. All it requires is a strong will to succeed, perseverence and efforts to make things happen in your way.
I wanted to share this so whoever reads this blog could be inspired to do what they really want to do and should not shy away from thinking negatively like, will I be able to .. What will people say .. etc.
Thus ending the blog and wishing you luck for your endeavors.
